Meet Tiffany Leveille: Writer Forging Community Connections

Meet Tiffany Leveille. 
She's a high school junior who is transforming her passion into a platform that forges connections between student community members. She is the founder of In the Write, a community blog devoted to spreading knowledge and understanding through storytelling. It is a youth-run initiative that gives everyone a space to share their stories. They have many different sections to submit stories to, such as the foster youth, curls and coils, community outreach, and visual arts sections.

Tiffany created this blog for many reasons. 

"I have loved to write since third grade," she says, "and ever since then, I haven't been able to put my pen down."

After some problems with her school's newspaper, she decided it was time to create a space where she could write about everything that she wanted to- without any guidelines or rules, except her own. Tiffany also wanted this to be a community before anything else. As a former foster youth, she is also a passionate advocate for teens in foster care- which is why she has an entire section in her blog devoted to them.

In the Write blog was created in January 2020, and since then, it has already allowed numerous people to share their community projects, personal stories, and experience in foster care. More than that, it has encouraged community building and forming connections.

​Tiffany's story shows people that anyone can make a difference, regardless of their situation. As long as you have the passion, motivation, and diligence, YOU can make a difference.
