wither & cry: a short poem

cherry blossoms
wither
pink and dry-
petals fall
slowly delicately-

i break
like a dream
slow
and then
i'm already
crying

pink dusts
grey-
my tears
glisten
like pearls

buttercup,
your fingers caress
tear tracks,
and
embrace ghost bruises

paint leaks
and
covers my floor
in acrylic hues
i unfurl a little
more

cherry blossoms
wither
and i
cry

spring
never arrives
